Radon gas is a naturally occurring radioactive gas and according to the EPA, Radon is the #1 leading cause of lung cancer among non – smokers. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends Radon testing if you are buying or selling a new or older home.

Radon is a deadly radioactive gas emitted from decaying Uranium deep within the earth and enters a house through small cracks and openings. Darnell-Group conducts a short-term (minimum 48 hours) test for a typical real estate transaction. We prefer to place the testing equipment prior to the home inspection and pick it up at the time of the scheduled inspection. Results of the radon test are ready shortly thereafter. Radon testing takes a minimum of 48 hours with 12 hours of closed house conditions prior to testing.
