GRAND LUXURY AND STYLE
This project was a complete home remodel. IN the kitchen we created a custom island, and maple cabinetry with a cherry finish, TV cabinet with a pull out swivel base above the refrigerator, carved wood onlays, granite countertops, ceramic tile backsplash and under-cabinet lighting. Stainless steel appliances were installed to finish off the kitchen area. We removed a wall that separated the living area from the kitchen area and created beautiful wet bar with granite countertops and a hammered nickle sink, carved wood onlays and columns with accent lighting to highlight features. Above the bar we designed and built an overhead piece with accent lighting as well. Large crown molding with lighting on an adjustable dimmer creates a theatrical effect like no other. We added wall sconces and a waterford crystal chandelier with a medalion in the formal dining area. The fireplace and mirror we designed and fabricated from carved maple stock with a cherry finish. There is also accent lighting that we installed behind the mantle header to highlight the marble hearth and surround.
GETTING THINGS FIRED UP
This kitchen burned from a grease fire and the rest of the house had extensive smoke damage. The fire restoration started with removing the fire damaged materials in the kitchen area and cleaning smoke damage from the rests of the structure. We also repaired existing termite damage the kitchen and living room walls that backed to the garage. We replaced the Zinsco electric service panel and brought the wiring, plumbing and insulation up to Code. We installed new cherry cabinets, granite countertops, glass tile backsplash, tile flooring and stainless steel appliances.
A BAKER’S KITCHEN REMODEL
Darnell-Group designed and built this room addition to expanded the size of the kitchen. In the design we also brought the laundry room upstairs from the basement. This spacious kitchen remodel includes oak cabinetry with granite countertops. Family and friends can retreat outdoors to a large concrete patio.
This kitchen is part of a larger water damage restoration project Darnell-Group was hired to reconstruct. The new kitchen design incorporates old charm with modern amenities. We gutted everything back to the framing and brought all the electrical, plumbing and insulation up to Code. Installed new cherry hardwood flooring, cherry cabinetry, countertops and travertine backsplash. All new stainless steel appliances. We also installed new Energy-Star rated casement windows and entry door.
