Water Damage Restoration ~ St. Charles, MO
MID-CENTURY RESTORATION
This was a large scale water damage restoration project that involved gutting the house back to the studs. Several water pipes froze and burst while the homeowner was out of state visiting family. It was estimated the water flooded the home for almost two weeks before they returned home. The only portion of the home that did not sustain damage was the second floor. The old knob and tube wiring, cast iron and lead plumbing, HVAC system and insulation were all replaced and upgraded to meet Code requirements. The coal burning fireplace was converted to natural gas. Cherry hardwood flooring was install throughout the entire main level of the home. In the kitchen cherry cabinetry and new countertops were installed along with stainless steel appliances. Natural wood trim, doors and Energy-Star rated windows and entry doors where installed. The bathroom received mosaic floor tiles and subway style wall tiles. Tub and toilet are from the Kohler classic collection and the tub/shower faucet and vanity faucet are from Moen. Custom vanity with quartz countertop with a porcelain under-mount sink. All the paint colors through out the entire house are historically correct. The lower level of the house was also reconstructed. The walk-out finished basement had all the cracks in the foundation repaired and a drain tile system with a sump pit and pump were installed prior to finishing. We also added a full bathroom to the lower level. The stairs were replaced and a wood newel post and railing were installed with wrought iron balusters.
